When you're in one of Love's Truck Tire Care or Speedco locations, you want to know that the men and women working on your truck know what they're doing. Love's and Speedco team members proved just that when they took home awards from the 2019 TMCSuperTech Competitions in Oklahoma and New Mexico. Thanks to a state-of-the-art training program and world-class coaches, Love's mechanics had their best state performances yet. This also marked the first year that Speedco mechanics competed alongside their Love's Truck Tire Care teammates.

Love's mechanics Chebon Palomino, Jorden Kettles and Triston Price swept the Oklahoma SuperTech 2019 competition, placing in the top three overall in the trailer track of the competition.

  • Palomino, from Love’s 486 in Oklahoma City, won the trailer written test station and first place overall. He'll travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, later this year to represent Love's in the National SuperTech competition against 27 other state winners and hundreds of the nation's best mechanics.
  • Kettles, from Speedco 941 in Oklahoma City, placed first in king pin inspection, Recommended Practices Manual and trailer suspension.
  • Price, a diesel mechanic from Love's 452 in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma, snagged a win for the Love's team in the trailer preventative maintenance rotation.

Love's team members from Gallup and Milan, New Mexico, also competed in a recent SuperTech competition for their state. Daniel Armijo and Donavan Peshlaki represented Speedco 938 in Milan and Love's 215 in Gallup. Peshlaki took second place overall in the trailer track of the competition and won the electrical station.

Justin Munoz, one of Love's six area mechanic training managers, shared some words of praise for his team.

“I am so proud of these guys,” Munoz said. “We've worked on this for a while, and they really knocked it out of the park. They're proving to our customers and the industry that we're paving the way.”

Congratulations to all our Speedco and Love's mechanics on their award winning accomplishments. Drivers across the country can rest easy knowing our team will get them back on the road quickly thanks to you.
