Cassill talks strategy and track position at Fontana
Landon Cassill was California dreamin' this weekend at Fontana, but Sunday's NASCAR race was mostly about strategy. The driver of the No. 34 Love's Ford Fusion finished 27th in the Auto Club 400.
"Our day was OK. We had a Top 20 finish here last year, so we had decent expectations coming to this track," he said.

Kyle Larson won the race. Brad Keselowski, Clint Bowyer, Martin Truex Jr. and Joey Logano rounded out the Top 5.
Cassill said it was tough to gain track position throughout the race.
"I think our pit strategy, taking a wave-around when we did, put us in a position to gain track position, which was hard to do today. Nobody was really gaining any track position. So, we went for it to get the most out of the opportunity. The result didn't turn out as well as it could have, but it was a good strategy and good effort for our Love's Travel Stops team," he said.
Cassill's next race in the Love's car comes April 9 at the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
