Trillium, PennDOT P3 project doubles as CNG Road Rally event
Last week, dignitaries from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, rabbittransit, Trillium CNG and additional organizations celebrated the opening of commonwealth's newest public compressed natural gas station in York with a ribbon cutting.
Speakers included Director of Trillium CNG Bill Cashmareck, PennDOT's Deputy Secretary for Multimodal Transportation Toby Fauver and Penn. State Rep. Dan Moul, who represents the 91st Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Rep. Moul highlights the commonwealth's continued support for alternative fueling options as he cites savings and sustainability goals.
The York station serves rabbittransit's CNG bus fleet and the fueling-CNG public. It is the latest opening of Trillium CNG's public private partnership with PennDOT.
PennDOT's Deputy Secretary for Multimodal Transportation Fauver addresses the crowd about the P-3 arrangement to foster a cleaner-burning fuel.
York's grand opening ceremony was unique as it also served as a fueling station for the second annual "From Sea-to-Shining-Sea" NGV Road Rally Across America. See photos below as the baton was passed by our friends from Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Columbia Gas of Virginia.
Representatives from Columbia Gas are all smiles as they participate in NGV's Road Rally at Trillium's CNG station in York.
