Road racing in Sonoma for Cassill, Front Row, No. 34 Love's Ford
It's a weekend full of California Dreamin' for Front Row Motorsports driver Landon Cassill as NASCAR rolls into Sonoma Raceway for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.
As the turny track is sometimes tricky, Cassill looks to previous race data for a leg up on the weekend's race.
"I enjoy going to Sonoma," Cassill said. "That's a good race track for us. We've got Love's on board, and they've had David Gilliland in their car in the past, and he's a phenomenal road racer, particularly at Sonoma. So I'll have to see what I can learn from our data from what he's done there in the past."
Sunday will be exciting for Cassill and the Front Row crew as he brings experience from last year to race day.
"Sonoma's always been challenging for me," Cassill said. "But last year, I felt like we raced significantly better than we qualified. Some of the cars that I couldn't keep up with in practice and qualifying, I was right with them during the race. So, I'll be doing a lot of preparation ahead of time to make sure I'm where I need to be when we get there on Friday."
We hope to see you at the track, but if you're catching the action on TV, tune in to FS1 at 3 p.m. ET Sunday, June 25, for the Toyota/Save Mart 350, and look for Cassill taking on the turns in the No. 34 Love's Ford.
