Love's to sponsor 20 Dance Marathons from Washington to Florida

Don't put away the neon fanny packs and sweet dance moves just yet. The dance party is just beginning. Love's is sponsoring 20 Dance Marathon programs across the country this year benefitting their local children's hospitals. The schools are:

• Auburn University
• University of Arkansas
• Vanderbilt University
• Northeastern State University
• Ball State University
• Texas Christian University
• University of Oklahoma
• Texas A&M University
• University of Texas
• Louisiana State University
• Gonzaga University
• University of Texas at Dallas
• University of Central Florida
• Valparaiso University
• University of Central Oklahoma
• Washington University
• St. Norbert College
• Creighton University

"I'm excited for our second year with Dance Marathon," said LaDonna Horton, Love's manager of community relations. "This partnership has connected us to more universities, students and local communities. It also provides another opportunity to build our brand."

2016 was Love's first year partnering with Dance Marathon. The 26 sponsored programs raised $1.8 million and saw a 48 percent fundraising increase.

This year, Love's received more than 140 sponsorship applications from colleges. Schools were selected based on how they planned to use the sponsorship funds to cover operational costs, enthusiasm and commitment to their programs.

"Love's has helped new programs begin and established programs exceed goals," said Horton. "Corporate and store employees have attended many of these marathons and have strengthened relationships with their local hospitals and Miracle Kids."
