Photos: Volunteers "Share The Love" across Oklahoma City Metro
The fourth annual Share the Love day took place Tuesday, Feb. 14. Valentine's Day is the perfect time to show those around you how much you care. This year's Share the Love continued the tradition of doing exactly that.
Nearly 200 corporate employees showed up to give back to three Oklahoma-City-area organizations. Volunteers spent a few hours working at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Rebuilding Together OKC or Wheeler Elementary School. From packaging food for those in need in Oklahoma to painting a low-income elderly citizen's house to dancing with students as part of a constructive extracurricular activity, the array of activities was vast. Dozens more made approximately 300 Valentine's cards for kids being treated at The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center.
All of these opportunities combined to make one giant day of giving. While Love's employees are no strangers to helping the community year-round, the Share the Love tradition has grown into a much anticipated event. Everyone ended the day knowing he or she made a difference, and as you will see in the pictures below, there were plenty of smiles and good times to go around.
Thank you to every volunteer who made a lasting impact on the community. Your time and energy is valuable, and your willingness to share it is appreciated.
