NASCAR fans delighted for Landon Cassill meet-and-greet at Love's
It was a beautiful weekend in the Lone Star State for a meet-and-greet with the driver of #34 Love's Ford Fusion, Landon Cassill. Fans, Customers and even local firefighters showed up at Love's 380 in Rhome, Texas, to support Cassill and Love's.
Cassill was in extra high spirits for the Love's store visit after qualifying in P15 Friday, which was his best starting spot for the season. He posed for photos, signed autographs and also requested his own bobble head - we'll see what we can do!
After a great qualifying position, Cassill and the Front Row Motorsports crew experienced some car damage on the pit road during race day, which played a role in the 29th place finish.
"Our Love's Travel Stops Ford was great to start the race," Cassill said. "I'm really proud of how we qualified, and we were able to pass some cars to get up into the Top 10 at the beginning of the race. Unfortunately, we had a miscommunication with our teammate on pit road and we had a little contact after taking two tires. It affected the handling the rest of the race and it was tough to make up spots with the narrow groove after that. But I'm proud of what our 34 team brought this weekend, and it's going to help us when we come back next time."
The excitement continues this season with Cassill racing in the #34 Love's Ford May 7 at Talladega Superspeedway for the Geico 500.
