CNG expands in the Lone Star State; Trillium CNG meets demand
Natural gas fuel sales are up 15 percent in the Lone Star State, according to the Texas Natural Gas Foundation.
“Major fleets such as United Foods, UPS and Frito Lay recognize that Texas natural gas still offers better value for fleet users,” State Representative Jason Isaac, president of the Texas Natural Gas Foundation, said in a recent news release.
Rep. Isaac continued about the economic benefit natural gas brings to Texas.
“Because municipal and transit fleets are tax-exempt, natural gas motor fuel use is nearly 33 percent higher, which equates to about 25 million gallons of Texas natural gas being utilized to benefit our economy, and providing funds to our economic stabilization fund, roads, and schools,” Isaac said.
