Buescher with P21 finish at Kansas Speedway

Race: Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway

Recap: Last in The Chase, Kevin Harvick secured a spot in the Round of 8 after clearing Carl Edwards for the lead on Lap 238.

Chris Buescher: Buescher started P30 and finished P21. Despite a disappointing qualifying, Buescher was able to make some great moves throughout the race. "Overall, it was a good day for our Love's Travel Stops team. It was good that we were able to move forward once the race started after a qualifying effort that didn't go our way," said Buescher. "We had some speed during some parts of the race, and we were able to pass some cars. The guys did a good job on pit road and we had some pit strategy that worked in our favor. So, not a bad day for our Love's Fusion."

What this means: A top 20 finish last week and P21 this week for the rookie. Buescher has been running consistently over the last several weeks, adding confidence to him and the team.

Next race: Alabama 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, Sunday, Oct. 23.
