Buescher earns Top 25 finish, meets Love's Customers at Talladega
Chris Buescher started the Talladega weekend with NASCAR fans at Love's 530 in Moody, Alabama, signing hero cards, photos and even tires.
Race: Hellmann's 500 at Talladega Superspeedway
Recap: The Round of 8 field of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup is set after the Hellmann's 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Joey Logano rallied back from having a jack stuck under his car to win at Talladega and is still in the title hunt.
Chris Buescher: Buescher started the race 33rd but climbed up 11 spots to finish P22.
"It feels great to finish at one of these places. It's what we wanted to do, just finish one of these things and come out with a decent finish. We were just jammed up there and the track wasn't as racy as a lot of people were hoping, and we weren't able to gain any speed," said Buescher. "It was a good attempt and I'm proud of the effort that everybody on our Love's Travel Stops team put in. It felt good to be able to drive under the checkered flag at the end."
What this means: A much different result for Buescher this time around at Talladega. It was nice to see the #34 Love's Ford Fusion remain on the track. Buescher made some sweet moves and implemented a good strategy for another Top 25 finish.
Next race: Goody's Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway, Sunday, Oct. 30.
