University of Central Arkansas hosts first Dance Marathon
Written by University of Central Arkansas Executive Director Haley Goodwin
The University of Central Arkansas hosted its first Dance Marathon 2-7:30 p.m. Oct. 29. There were 50 students in attendance participating in relay games, dancing, live performances, stories from miracle families and much more. There was also a henna booth, snack booth and raffle. During the Love's Hour, the UCA Dance Marathon family announced they raised $2,840 for Arkansas Children's Hospital.
Through the support Love's gave to us, we were able to not just raise funds, but also raise awareness and set the foundation to host our event year after year. We are so thankful for the funding to host this event because it gave us the ability to share the importance about fundraising "For The Kids"! One of our very own Miracle Kids, Kenzie, joined us for this year's Dance Marathon. She was CMN Hospitals' Arkansas Champion in 2016 and showed our participants that even though kids have illnesses, they are still kids who love to dance, play and laugh, especially at Dance Marathon! We loved having our Miracle Kids join in the celebration that wouldn't have been possible without Love's!
Love's is delighted to sponsor Dance Marathon events in multiple states. It's all to help make miracles happen for CMN Hospitals.
