VIP driver at Mid-America Trucking Show espouses value of Love's TirePass service

Professional driver Wayne Dollar was born to know a good value when he sees it. It's right there in his name, displayed as a $ on his VIP badge at the 2016 Mid-America Trucking Show.

And without solicitation or hesitation, he'll tell you that Love's TirePass service should be in every truck stop in the country. The owner-operator with Mercer Transportation explained why.

"Tire pressure is such an economic determiner; you're really wasting money if you don't manage it," Dollar said.

Sure, a professional driver can check his or her tires on their own.

"Yes, but it takes so long doing it one tire at a time. With TirePass, once you get registered, your numbers are set," he said.

The Amarillo, Texas, native first discovered TirePass during a haul through Georgia. He walked into a Love's Travel Stops location there, got some coffee and inquired about what was going on in the fuel island.

Once he learned how TirePass works, he downloaded a list of Love's locations where he could use the service as he travels the country with his wife, Kris.

"TirePass should be in every truck stop in the country. It is an ingenious idea," Dollar said. "There are still a lot of people intimidated by it, but they shouldn't be."

And he gets My Love Rewards points out of the deal, another value spotted by a man named Dollar.
