Fontana preview: Chris Buescher is going back in Cali

Auto Club 400 set for 2:30 p.m. CDT on Sunday

Chris Buescher is ready to go back to where it all started for him: Fontana.

"It's where I ran my first Cup race last year with the 34 guys. We ended up 20th, and we raced really well for my first time in the car," he said.

Mind you, this year that car has the Love's logo on it. Buescher will take the #34 Love's Ford Fusion to California this Sunday for the Auto Club 400.

"It's great to have Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores on our Ford Fusion for our return there. The guys have a good car prepared, and I think we can have another really good day," Buescher said.

Buescher's last race in the #34 Love's Ford Fusion was a 26th place finish at the Kobalt 400 in Las Vegas two weeks ago. If you happen to recall, it was really, really windy that day.

"It definitely didn't help us there at the end with the wind blowing across the track toward the backstretch," he said.

This week's coverage at Fontana starts at 2 p.m. CDT on FOX, and the race is set for 2:30.
