Service-award winners celebrate locations nationwide

We like to celebrate milestones here at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, and that means we recognize difference makers who reach significant anniversaries with us. We give out these service awards as a sign of thanks that these friendly faces are part of our family.

Coincidentally, family is what comes to mind most when we ask these employees about what they love about working for Love's!

Deloris McDowell has been with Love's for a decade now, and she's currently at Love's 344 in Memphis, Tennessee. She said Love's is a company that genuinely cares about the well-being of its people.

"The entire company of Love's is like one big family. They treat you like family and make you feel like family," McDowell said.

Cindy Bagby has seen it play out for 15 years. Her store at Love's 231 in Hillsboro, Texas, is one big family.

"Love the family atmosphere -- everyone pulling together to work as a team," she said.

Bagby likes to tell a story about one of her favorite Customers. His name is Johnny, and he's been stopping by for years and years.

"His face lights up when he sees me, and he hasn't ever stepped in this store without giving me a hug," she said.

The best part about working for Love's is the chance to meet a wide variety of people, says Debbie Willis, who is celebrating 15 years with Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores. She works at Love's 256 in Van Horn, Texas.

"I love talking to people, and quite a few of our drivers really missed us when we were remodeling our Van Horn location," Willis said. "It was so great to see those same faces come back when we reopened."

For Joann Reeves at Love's 275 in Palestine, Arkansas, fundraising season is her favorite -- and, yes, she's talking about Love's efforts to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

"I love the adrenaline of the rush and collecting money for CMN," she said. "I've already been workin' on people for this year!"

We are grateful for Deloris, Cindy, Debbie and Joann for their service and their stories! Likewise, we also want to congratulate Dianne Recor at Love's 530 in Moody, Alabama, for 10 years with Love's. Audrey Powell has been with us for 10 years! She's currently at Love's 280 in Buckeye, Arizona! Last but definitely not least, Maria Palma is celebrating 15 years with us at the Carl's Jr., located at Love's 287 in Van, Texas!
