Crash ends Daytona 500 for Chris Buescher, #34 Love's Ford Fusion
Chris Buescher's first Daytona 500 as a Sprint Cup driver was certainly a memorable one. A hard crash on Lap 92 of the Great American Race ended his day in the #34 Love's Ford Fusion but didn't dampen his competitive spirits.
"We had a fast race car. I was having a blast out there. The handling was tough. We were fighting loose-in, loose-off, and we got tight on that last run, but it was a blast. I was having so much fun. I hate that we're standing here right now unable to finish the race," Buescher said.
Check out the video from FOX Sports:
"I really saw nothing before the wreck. Matt (DiBenedetto) was in the care center with me, and he apologized, and I appreciate that. I just hate it for Love's Travel Stops, coming on board for our first Daytona 500 together, and to leave it like this is not ideal by any means," Buescher said.
Both Buescher and DiBenedetto thankfully were OK after the wreck.
Buescher ended the day in 39th.
He's back in the #34 Love's Ford Fusion come March 6 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Kobalt Tools 400. If you haven't already liked Front Row Motorsports on Facebook and Twitter, please do so! And show Chris some love, too, on his Facebook and Twitterpages!!
