Big weekend for Buescher as he returns to Texas
The Lone Star State welcomed tens of thousands of NASCAR fans over the weekend for the Duck Commander 500, and it welcomed back one of its own, Chris Buescher. The driver of the #34 Love's Ford Fusion hails from Prosper, about an hour from the Texas Motor Speedway.
Buescher finished the race in 28th position after starting 34th. The Front Row Motorsports driver said it was a night of progress.
"It was a long night with the rain delays and everything early on, but once we got rolling, we were able to keep a pretty good pace. We started working on our Love's Travel Stops Ford and got it a lot closer as we went, so I'm really proud of the guys for that," Buescher said.
He added, "It was a big improvement from where we started the race, and we've got some good notes for the next time we come back."
Buescher made a big impression on his fans the entire weekend, many of whom came out to see him at Love's 281 in Fort Worth. The fine folks with Front Row Motorsports snapped a few pics from the weekend:
