Love's employees participate in United Way 'Day of Caring'

Love’s is a longtime supporter of United Way. Last month, thanks to our employees' generosity during the annual fundraising campaign, Love’s raised nearly $650,000 for United Way. The partnership doesn’t end there. Several Love’s employees recently spent an afternoon participating in United Way’s 'Day of Caring' at the Daily Living Center in Bethany.

Volunteers served refreshments, played bingo and bowled with residents. Courtney Franklin, Love’s community relations administrator, coordinated the event with the Daily Living Center.

"Giving back to the community is the socially responsible thing to do," said Franklin. "I am proud to work for a company that takes its responsibility to the community seriously."

Love's also donated blankets, crayons, coloring books and more to residents.

It was amazing to see how much joy Love's employees brought to the residents at the Daily Living Center. Residents and volunteers were grateful for a fun-filled afternoon.

"I had fun spending time with residents," said Franklin. “I enjoyed listening to stories about their lives, families and accomplishments.”
